Ciné films come in a variety of sizes; the ones shown here are 50′ reels, but they go as large as 400′ in length.
Even though they are one of the oldest mediums available they can last well as they are often well protected in plastic cases, although mould and damp can again be an issue.
Rather than copying an often poor projected image, our conversion process painstakingly takes a backlit photo of every frame in the film, adjusting the exposure to ensure the best possible image is taken, and then combining all the images into a single, seamless video file.
